Power Plant rotating machinery vibration Analyst with extensive skill in dynamic balancing of Steam turbines, Turbo generators and other auxiliary rotating machinery in Power stations - Thermal , Hydel , Gas and Nuclear based. Vast experience in trouble shooting rotating machinery operational problems of Utility sets ranging from 110 MW , 210 MW, 500 MW to 800 MW super critical units . Condition monitoring expert to enhance the availability and reliability of the power generating equipments. Expertise in Commissioning of mechanical equipment and processes associated with steam generating sets, Turbines and associated machinery in Power stations.

38 years of experience in the erection of boiler and auxiliaries. Commissioning and operation of various capacity units like 10, 30, 110, 210, 500, 600 and 800 MW of BHEL BTG sets. Expert in: Boiler, Turbine and BOP commissioning.  Additional knowledge and hands on experience: C&I Trouble shooting, MaxDna and Tuning of auto loops. Trained in: Supercritical Technology at Alstom USA as well as for MaxDna at BHEL EDN Bangalore 

Last designation held as DGM at 1x600 MW RTPP Muddanur site AP as UCM and Construction Manager. Date of superannuation: 24/05/2018. 

Experience after retirement: 1.) Brief expertise service at Iraq.  2) From July 2019 to till date working as consultant in NPPL -150 MW power plants at Nagapattinam.

He has 37 years of rich experience in the Boiler and Turbine valves engineering division of BHEL Trichy. 

24 years of experience in Boiler design department for the preparation of layout of Boiler, Floor Plan, Boiler Ducting Layouts (Hot, Cold, ID). Supporting structures. (Columns, {Main &Aux boilers} Bracings, Floor Plans, Ducting Arrangement of Boilers Ceiling Girders etc.).Drawings of Pressure Parts, Boiler mountings, Piping (includes 3D) 

Three years in Erection and commissioning of SCTF (Super Critical Test Facility) at R&D Department of BHEL Trichy.

Thirteen Years in Quality Control Department-Inspection and Documentation of Boiler Pipes and Tubes, Production of Headers, Panels, Hangers, Burner components etc., Major period of service in BHEL was dedicated to Boiler Tubes, Water wall (WW) Panels, Burners, Hangers and supports, Ducts and Dampers of boilers at esteemed customer sites including NTPC, State owned and private utilities

He has 4 decades of rich experience in valves servicing in Thermal power plants. During his tenure in BHEL, he has gone to abroad assignments for valves servicing.

Experience in  protection and communication for over 23 years. Also served in distribution, Load Dispatch Centre, EHT line maintenance and thermal power station. Grid relay setting and testing: Familiar in the following relays: Distance (under impedance)-SEL321,SEL311C,SIPROTEC 7SA522, MICOM P444, MICOM 430C,GE D60,ZLV of ZIV, NARI PSC 902, REL670/650, SIFANG CSC 302, Static and electro mechanical relays(RAZOA,RAZFE, THR3P18/E1,SSRR3V,Micro Mho, Etc . Directional and nondirectional phase/Ground over current relays-All static and numerical relays. 5 | P a g e Multi zone Bus bar protection relays with LBB and End Fault protection-Moderate impedance RADSS, High impedance RADHA and Reyrolle, Numercial relays-REB 670, GE B90,SEL 487,NARI PCS 915,MICOM P741, NARI PCS 915 Etc. Percentage biased differential and high impedance differential relays for Auto/Power transformers with Restrictive earth fault and Over Flux protection using discrete and multifunctional relays. Hands on experience in setting, configuring, testing and commissioning of the mentioned relays. Familiar in the Testing and commissioning of Power plant equipments in the 765,400,230,110,33&11KV substations such as CT, PT,CVT,AUTO & Power Transformer, capacitor bank, Synchronous Generator, Line/BUS Reactors, breakers Etc including the condition monitoring tests such as SFRA and Tandelta measurements. Familiar in post fault analysis and relay retrofit works. ‘OUT STANDING’ rating for several times in the yearly personal assessment reports. 

Testing and commissioning of Turbo generators up to 200MW, exciters, electric motors up to 10MW and connected electric equipments like static excitation and electric drives with switchgears, substation testing and commissioning upto the voltage level of 765kV. 

He has rich  experience of 30 years in NDT from BHEL Trichy. 

He has rich experience in the operation and maintenance of substations upto 400kV. During his tenure in KPTCL, he also serves Additional and deputy Electrical Inspector at Hassan and Madikere districts. 

In addition to this, SVCE is governed by retired BHEL experts in the BOP’s of power plantsFor GIS, ICT’s, PST, GT’s, converter transformers and CB upto 765kV, SVCE is having engineers who have rich experience in erection, testing and commissioning from Hitachi Energy and GE.
